Sebastopol

What a fun little town this turned out to be but the traffic was horrendous at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. Luther Burbank used to ride his bicycle here from his home in Santa Rosa to his experimental farm.

In his cottage they had a nice display about his life and agriculture endeavors.

We then turned on Florence Street to see the sculptures (see more here) that are in many of the yards there. They were created by a husband and wife and I don't know the full story about how they came to be placed in yards. They seemed to match the houses. Talk about imaginative! I am sure some residents must think "how tacky!"

Closer inspection showed the binoculars to be made from cans and this was the way with most items. It was always an oh my gosh moment and a laugh.

And they went on and on! A fun find! On to Santa Rosa.
