Afterall, it is monkey see, monkey do. I noticed they are starting the same trend on Dixon Street in Fayetteville, Ar. Those creative college towns!

I was surprised at how many vintage pieces can be found in the shops. Kay put a glider just like this, that was my grandmother's but without so much rust, on the scrap pile. This one sells for $199.
The South Congress area we strolled was only a few blocks long but shop after shop was interesting and eclectic. Some parking lots included tents with food, beer, or vintage clothing. Many of the shops don't open until eleven and if you want a parking spot them early is good.
Quirky signs and posters are plastered on telephone poles and almost anywhere there is space.
This little guy's owner dropped him off in front of the grocery while he went shopping.
I do believe the majority of Airstreams in existence must be in Austin. They are everywhere.
We always make sure we stroll this quirky neighborhood when in Austin. I even found my Renaissance headpiece here but that is another story.
